I sit down with whoever has the problem. I look at the spreadsheet, the old system and how they work today before proposing anything.

Design
I define the smallest scope that changes something, the flows and screens, and the technical decisions with their reasons.

Build
In short stages that can be tested. Each stage leaves something usable, not 80% of everything.

Ship to production
Infrastructure as code, CI/CD, backups and monitoring from the first deploy. Cheap to run.

Stay along
I migrate the data, train people and adjust with real usage. The system has to keep running, not just be delivered.
